Before you begin
- Prepare one Word file (.doc or .docx), up to 5 MB. You can use your own document for the initial submission; follow the guidance below.
- Have two suggested reviewers ready: their names, institutions and email addresses. There is no separate reviewer document to download or upload.
- Check originality: your manuscript must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.
Manuscript requirements and formatting
Detailed journal formatting is required for the final submission. For the initial submission, focus on a complete, clearly structured manuscript.
- Length: up to 8,000 words for an original research article or 10,000 words for a review article.
- Opening information: include the article title, authors’ names and affiliations, and corresponding author’s contact details.
- Abstract and keywords: an abstract of no more than 250 words, followed by 5–6 keywords.
- Greek-language manuscripts: keep the original Greek details in your manuscript. Select Greek in the form below and provide the English title, abstract, keywords, authors’ preferred names in Latin characters (including initials), and English affiliations matched to each author. All authors must approve these details before submission. Only one manuscript file is needed.
- Main text: use clear section headings. Place tables and figures within the manuscript, with table captions above and figure captions below.
- References: ensure every source cited in the text appears in the reference list. The journal’s existing guidance specifies APA, 5th edition.
Formatting for the final manuscript
Use a single-column layout with 1¼-inch (3.18 cm) left and right margins.
- Body text: Arial, 11 pt.
- Article title: Arial, 14 pt, bold.
- Abstract: Arial, 10 pt, with an 11 pt bold heading.
- Main section headings: Arial, 12 pt, bold.
- Table and figure captions: at least 9 pt.
Journal headers, footers and publication details are handled during production. You do not need to add them to your submission.
What happens after submission?
The journal uses double-blind peer review: reviewers receive the manuscript without author names, affiliations, email addresses or acknowledgements. The editorial team will contact the corresponding author about the review outcome and any revisions.
